Privacy Policy
How Valentine Tide collects, uses and protects your information. Effective November 2, 2026.
Who we are
Valentine Tide is a gothic surf apparel brand owned and operated by Graysmith Labs LLC, a Colorado company. This policy covers valentinetide.com, our Etsy shop, our Pinterest and X accounts, and the internal tools we use to run them. When this policy says "we" or "us," it means Graysmith Labs LLC.
What we collect
Orders. When you buy from us, checkout runs through Stripe. Stripe collects your name, email, shipping address and payment details. We receive your name, email, shipping address and what you ordered. We never see or store your full card number.
Email list. If you sign up for drop announcements, or opt in at checkout, we store your email address, where you signed up and when.
Messages. If you email us, we keep the message and your address so we can answer you.
Your bag. Items you add to your bag are saved in your own browser so they survive a reload. That data stays on your device and is never sent to us until you check out.
Site analytics. We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and page views. It uses no cookies and does not track you across other websites. Our host may also keep standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security.
How we use it
We use your information only to make, ship and support your order, to send the emails you asked for, to answer your messages, to prevent fraud, to keep our records as the law requires, and to understand which products and pages people like so we can improve them.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for targeted advertising, and we do not use it to build profiles about you.
Pinterest, Etsy and Printful integrations
We run a private internal tool, called Graysmith Labs HQ, that connects to our own Pinterest, Etsy and Printful business accounts through their official APIs. It is used only by us and is not offered to anyone else.
- On Pinterest, it publishes pins of our own products to our own boards and reads analytics about our own account and pins, such as impressions, saves and clicks.
- On Etsy, it reads our own shop's orders and listing statistics and updates our own listing titles, descriptions and tags.
- On Printful, it reads our own orders and products to check that fulfillment is on track.
The tool does not access other people's Pinterest accounts, pins or boards. We use the data it reads only for our own internal reporting. We never sell it, share it with third parties, or use it for advertising, and we keep only summary statistics for as long as they are useful. We follow each platform's developer terms. How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting rules require, usually up to seven years. We keep your email on our list until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it. We delete other information once we no longer need it.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email, or by writing to us. You can also ask us to tell you what information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live, including Colorado and California, you may have additional rights under state law. Email us and we will respond within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Security
We use trusted providers, encrypted connections and limited access to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep what we hold as small and as safe as we can.
Children
Our site and shop are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top of this page.
